Company founder L.V. WALSH commenced trading in 1946, taking over an Auto-Electrical and Contracting business. Company developed into automotive parts and accessories and moved several times as it expanded and ceased Electrical Contracting.
Current Managing Director, Peter Walsh joined the company in 1970 and in 1985 acquired the business of A.H.Senar, an engine parts distributor and re-conditioning business.
Branches in Ellesmere Port and Flint followed and in 2008 the acquisition of WM Rollings in Wrexham moved the business forward by significantly increasing its area of activity and customer base. 2011 saw the addition of a Rollings branch in Oswesty followed in 2012 by the acquisition of another long established parts distributor, Moparts in Liverpool.
The LVW Group now has a customer base of over 750 garages and continues to develop its product ranges.
LVW takes much pride in progressing through three generations of the family. L.V. Walsh, the current Managing Director's father, commenced trading in 1946.
Peter Walsh, joining in 1970 became Managing Director in 1974 and following the acquisition of A.H. Senar in 1985 and several years of developing the business was joined by his daughter Kate in 2000 and by his son Daniel in 2004. Further family members have since also joined the business.
The company takes much pride in the large number of employees whose careers have largely been spent with the company, many in excess of 20 years in service.
